I said: you are gods, and the sons of the Most High are all of you.

Jesus Christ, in His sermons, openly called Himself the son of God, which caused anger among those Jews who were listening to Him because for them it was blasphemy and meant that He called Himself God as it is clear that the Son of God cannot be anything but only god. If you are a son of God, it means that God begot you and God can only beget a god, God can create a man or a fish or a crocodile, but He can beget only a god and nothing else.

John 10:33 The Jews answered Him, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God.”
34 Jesus answered them, “Has it not been written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’?
35 If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),
36 do you say of Him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?

To confirm that He is right, Jesus, refers to Psalm 82 verse 6 "I said: you are gods" and tells the Jews that if God himself personally calls his children or those whom he has begotten as gods, and the scripture cannot be changed, that means this is true and the children of the Most High are not only humans but gods because God himself calls them so in His word.

Psalm 82:1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

The Son of God is defined by how he lives and the works he does because God always acts Himself through His son and by His Spirit.

If a person calls himself a son or a child of God, but does not do the works similar to the works that God does, then such a person cannot be trusted.

But if a person does the works the same to the God’s, it means that God acts through him and that person is really born of God.

He who is born of God is the same with the Father or God in his nature or Spirit and therefore resembles his Father and his works are the same as those of the Father.

John 10:36 Do you say of Him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?
37 If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;
38 but if I do them, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father.”
“The Father is in Me and I am in Him”
these are the reasons to the work and the unity of the Spirit generates the same work.

John 10:32 Jesus answered them, “I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?”

John 14:10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.
11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves.

God is love in his essence, and therefore the works that he does are made out of love for people. It is the same with Christ as He was united with the Father or was in the Father and has one Spirit with Him, and His works were works done for sake of love to people.

1 John 4:16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

The apostles talk a lot about love for the neighbor and teach believers to show their love because it is a sign that they are moved by the Spirit of God and abide in God and are connected to Him as Jesus was connected to the Father and did His works.

1 Corinthians 6:17 But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

If you are one Spirit with the Lord, then you are the same with Him in the inner nature and your works are similar to the works that God does and you manifest the same fruits that the Holy Spirit of God has because he who is born of God has the same Spirit as God does.

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, self-control.

As Jesus was born of the Spirit, so that one who believes in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior is born of the Spirit, and God, by His Spirit, enters his heart and gives him His essence and nature.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
35 By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

Only by the presence of love can one determine whether a person is a disciple of Jesus Christ, or simply pretends to be his follower or a disciple.

The first church was doing the works of love practically so they were taking care of the poor members in need.

Acts 2:44 And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common;
45 and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need.

Acts 4:32 And the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common property to them.
33 And with great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all.
34 For there was not a needy person among them, for all who were owners of land or houses would sell them and bring the proceeds of the sales
35 and lay them at the apostles’ feet, and they would be distributed to each as any had need.
36 Now Joseph, a Levite of Cyprian birth, who was also called Barnabas by the apostles (which translated means Son of Encouragement),
37 and who owned a tract of land, sold it and brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

1 John 3:16 We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
17 But whoever has the world’s goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?
..........
23 This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.

You can determine whether you are walking in love or you are not by the signs of love; all these signs are given in the Scripture.

1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,
5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,
6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

If you have patience towards people's weaknesses, then you love them.

If you show mercy and caring to people, then you love them.

If you are not jealous, then this is a sign of love towards people.

If you do not boast, then this is a sign of love towards people.

If you are not proud then this is a sign of love.

If you stand out for the truth of God, this is a sign of love too. And so on.

God is love and that person who dwells in love is united with God and they have the same Spirit, so this Spirit produces in the person His fruits, which should be visible in the person’s character; only then it can be confirmed that this person is born of God and is united with God and is a child of God. And whoever does not have the Spirit of God and does not have the manifestation of this Spirit does not belong to God, and no matter how this person labels himself and how he would call himself: a Christian or a son of God or holy, or even the most holy.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, self-control.

God incarnated in His Son, Jesus Christ, and through the sacrifice of Christ, God has incarnated in the billions of people who believe in Christ and make them His children.

The Church of God is the body of Jesus Christ and more and more new believers are constantly joining it and thus the Kingdom of God grows and expands on this Earth and God incarnates in more and more new people filling them with His Spirit.

John 17:21 That they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.
22 The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one;
23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.

The main truth, which Jesus Christ brought, is that a man can return to God and be united with Him, "I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity”.

The Bible also describes the harlot church, which we can see nowadays; it has been born of the devil and its spirit; it hides behind the name of God and Christ and passes off its works as the works of God by fooling people and parasitizing at their expense, multiplying its wealth and living by to the principles and spirit of the sinful world, it even carries out the charity work with the purpose of enrichment and makes a stand against the prophets of God, even killing them.

Revelation 17: 1 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, “Come here, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters,
2 with whom the kings of the earth committed acts of immorality, and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk with the wine of her immorality.”
3 And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality,
5 and on her forehead a name was written, a mystery, “BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
6 And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. When I saw her, I wondered greatly.

Revelation 18: 3 For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the passion of her immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed acts of immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich by the wealth of her sensuality.
4 I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues;
5 for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
6 Pay her back even as she has paid, and give back to her double according to her deeds; in the cup which she has mixed, mix twice as much for her.
7 To the degree that she glorified herself and lived sensuously, to the same degree give her torment and mourning; for she says in her heart, ‘I sit as a queen and I am not a widow, and will never see mourning.’
8 For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong.

The children of God and the children of the devil or the church and the harlot church are determined, as Jesus Christ taught, by the fruits produced by the spirit they have inside.

1 John 3:10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

Mathew 7:15 “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
16 You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?
17 So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.
19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 So then, you will know them by their fruits.

Adam was a created man and was not born of God and it is written about him and his descendants that their status was even below the level of angels.

Psalm 8:4 What is man that You take thought of him,
And the son of man that You care for him?
5 Yet You have made him a little lower than angels,
And You crown him with glory and majesty!

Hebrews 2:6 But one has testified somewhere, saying,
“What is man, that You remember him?
Or the son of man, that You are concerned about him?
7 “You have made him for a little while lower than the angels;
You have crowned him with glory and honor,
And have appointed him over the works of Your hands;

But Jesus Christ, or as the Scripture calls Him, the second Adam is already the Lord who came from heaven and is not created from dust and His level exceeds the level of angels.

1 Corinthians 15:47 The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly.
49 Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we will also bear the image of the heavenly
.

All the descendants of Adam were bearing Adam’s nature and all those who are united with the Lord in one Spirit have started to bear the Lord’s nature. So, they, despite of having a perishable body while living on the earth at this time and having unperfect soul, thinking and emotions, are expecting that God will give them a new, imperishable body and their soul will be transformed by God. They will be spiritual beings in whom the Spirit of God governs and they are led by the Spirit and not the soul.

1Corinthians 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body;
43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;
44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
45 So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual.
47 The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven.

They will be in everything like the Lord Jesus Christ, and you can see the imperishable body that the children of God will have.

Revelation 1:15 His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters.
16 In His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its strength.

The children of God will be exactly the same as Jesus Christ and they will be gods by their nature and essence and will be equal to the Lord as they are His brothers and sisters and they will be the lords themselves.

They will receive the great inheritance that God the Father promised them as His children.

Hebrews 2:5 For He did not subject to angels the world to come, concerning which we are speaking.
6 But one has testified somewhere, saying,
“What is man, that You remember him?
Or the son of man, that You are concerned about him?
7 “You have made him for a little while lower than the angels;
You have crowned him with glory and honor,
And have appointed him over the works of Your hands;
8 You have put all things in subjection under his feet.”
For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him
. But now we do not yet see all things subjected to him.

At the moment, not all of the creation is subjected to the children of God, but they’ll inherit the whole universe from God, as the universe is also something that God created. "And have appointed him over the works of Your hands. You have put all things in subjection under his feet.” For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him.

There is no division into confessions in Heaven in the kingdom of God; there is only the family of God or the children born of God who are carrying the glory of their Father and there is God all in all and there is no separation or enmity.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
